Make Mine A Double for 3 lever or pedal harps, 2 sopranos and a cello was first performed in April 2016 at Migvie Chirch as part of the newly commissioned music presented by Aberdeen Harp Project.
Written in four sections, Gin, Tonic, Ice and Slice, this is intended to be played as one piece without break with one of the harp parts providing a segue linking each section.
The soprano parts lyrics are for percussive effect – they should be pronounced with slight exaggeration in keeping with the character of each section, and rests observed.
Anyone finding meaning in the lyrics should pour themselves another one.
