Due to injury, the piano recital by Donald Hawksworth that was planned for Sunday 14 November 2010 has had to be postponed and will be rescheduled in the spring. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause in the meantime.

We welcome David Smith to give an organ recital on Tuesday 26th October. This replaces the recital that was originally to be given by Roger B. Williams.

We have found a mistake in our printed brochure… The Edinburgh Quartet concert on Tuesday 2nd November will take place in King's College Chapel on the University of Aberdeen campus, not Cowdray Hall. Sorry for any confusion!

Sound Thought 2011

Sound Thought 2011, which runs from 3rd - 5th February 2011, will take the form of a three-day music-focused multi-arts conference/festival. This event will platform the best in Glasgow University post-graduate music composition and research, alongside research in music and sound from other arts institutions/organisations, and a programme of interdisciplinary performance work by emergent artists working in related creative fields.
The aim of the event is to provide a new high-profile platform for emergent music/sound composition, performance and research in Scotland, and to act as a catalyst for cross-collaboration and dialogue between disciplines on the subject of music and sonic research.
