The Tool Shed

This short work is a montage of all that reminds me of time spent in Birmingham and my friendship with Pete; largely in the studio or when we
escaped en masse to the “Dilshad” Indian restaurant, otherwise known as the Tool Shed. It was a great honour to have had you as a colleague and friend during my degree. As well as hearing the sounds of eating and drinking there are clips illustrating my fond memories of soldering patch-bays in the studio whilst listening to Steve Reich when the first studio in the Elgar was being built, plus orchestra rehearsals and, funnily, the noise of the local gunsmiths that could be heard both from the university as well as from Bristol Road.

Let me raise a glass to you and wish you a very happy birthday!
