Happy 60th birthday Pete! It is unbelievable how time flies. It seems like yesterday we were chatting about acousmatics at the ICMC in Banff. I wish you a fantastic year and many more ahead filled with laughter and joy, and plenty of composing.
This clip is a little slice of life from my neck of the woods during lockdown. It’s been well over 10 years since I last composed anything and getting back to it for this birthday project has been a real pleasure (thanks Jonty!). For the clip I returned to my roots by using naturalistic recordings juxtaposed with percussive moments, all modelled on one of your pieces.
