A popular 3-day composition course for creative young musicians and composers aged 11-18 and in secondary education.

Newton Dee Village, Aberdeen
Cost: £60 non-residential
Create your own original piece of music with support from composers Laura Bowler and Rylan Gleave who will guide you through the process of writing a piece from start to finish.
You will write music for the flute, viola and cello and it will be played by musicians from Red Note Ensemble. Red Note play lots of different styles and types of music and enjoy working with creative young people.
Go Compose! is suitable for young people aged 11-18 and in secondary education who have an interest in creating and exploring sounds and music and would like to develop their skills and experiences in a fun and creative environment. No previous compositional experience is required.
TIMETABLE
Sunday 16 | 2pm - 8pm | Phoenix Centre, Newton Dee Village, Aberdeen
Monday 17 | 10am – 5pm | Phoenix Centre, Newton Dee Village, Aberdeen
Tuesday 18 | 10am – 4pm with a sharing performance at 5pm
RESIDENTIAL OPTION
We will be able to organise supervised accommodation for you if you will be travelling from a distance and would like the option to stay overnight to attend the course. There will be an additional cost for this. Please contact us directly for more information.
