sound residency
Scottish and Italian flautists Richard Craig and Roberto Fabbriciani, Slovenian clarinetist Tadej Kenig and British Sri Lankan born cellist Rohan de Saram will spend four days together rehearsing new works written specifically for them. The Scottish-based composers Pippa Murphy, Oliver Searle, Gareth Williams and Paul Tierney have each written a new piece inspired by works at Aberdeen Art Gallery for any combination of two flutes, clarinet and cello which will be performed by the four musicians in the Art Gallery itself. Bringing these four internationally renowned musicians together for the first time was too good an opportunity to miss, so they will also perform other contemporary works for these combinations at Woodend Barn Arts Centre.
