In association with Red Note Ensemble, I Solisti del Vento and Song Circus
Three European ensembles - Red Note (Scotland), I Solisti del Vento (Belgium) and Song Circus (Norway) - joined forces in this co-production which premièred in Aberdeen. The programme presented Louis Andriessen’s seminal work De Staat (The Republic) alongside Mauricio Kagel’s Der Tribun (The Tribune) featuring Simon Callow and the world première of The F Scale, a new work commissioned from John De Simone to sit specifically alongside De Staat.
The production then toured to the following festivals and venues in Europe:
