An opportunity for all composers to improve their skills, develop new ideas and get advice from leading professionals. This full-day workshop includes a session with Colin Riley on Collaborative Multi-Media work, and a masterclass on Writing for Piano with Rolf Hind. The day will conclude with a talk from Christopher Fox on composing for piano and percussion, following the premiere of his new work Earth & Sea at soundfestival 2023 which will be performed at the Sunday lunchtime concert at St Andrew's Cathedral. A ticket for this concert is included as part of the Composers' Day.

10.30am Registration, tea, and coffee
10.45-11.45am Talk on multimedia/collaborative work with Colin Riley (based on Ludic Inventions)
12pm Lunchtime concert – GBSR Duo (Earth & Sea by Christopher Fox) at St Andrew’s Cathedral, Aberdeen (tickets included as part of the Composers' Day)
1.30-2pm 3x 1:1 sessions with Colin Riley (fully booked) / Lunch
2-3pm Writing for Piano Masterclass with Rolf Hind
3-4.00pm Writing for Piano and Percussion with Christopher Fox (talking about his composition Earth & Sea)
4.00pm Finish
