Geoff Palmer String Quartet No. 5: Haec Dies (World Première)
World premières of two colourful new works written for the Edinburgh Quartet. Fox’s piece grew out of a painting which he saw in 2012 in the National Museum of Art in Washington, whilst closer to home Palmer’s new quartet was inspired by the plainchant singing of monks at Pluscarden Abbey and its setting in the NE of Scotland.
