Performance
Timothy Cooper is a composer and performer of electroacoustic music. He has worked as a sound engineer for a wide range of events from traditional concert settings through to more experimental sight specific sound-art. Tim has particular skills in the presentation of music for large ensemble and electronics diffused over multi-channel loud speaker arrays.
Tim’s compositions range from purely electroacoustic to purely instrumental and include works for instruments and electronics as well as installations. His compositions reflect a love of performance born from his studies as a euphonium player and from playing with his parents radio set. This performance is reflected in the kinds of sounds he seeks out and in the way that he uses them both instrumentally and in the electroacoustic studio.
He is a founding member of Edit-Point and because of his extensive skills acts as the groups Technical Director.
