Inspired by a fantastic day spent exploring the gardens, gathering sounds, and capturing the atmosphere of this much loved city space, the orchestra created an immersive soundscape that brings the gardens to life.
As you walk through the gardens, listen out for familiar sounds and landmarks woven into the piece, including a train passing overhead, children playing in the play park, and the gentle finale at the humming stone. The sound walk invites visitors to slow down, explore, and experience the gardens through fresh ears.
Originally presented during Family Arts Day at the Light the Blue Festival 2026, this completed soundwalk is now ready to be enjoyed by everyone.
