Invitation to tender for concept and design of logo for Aberdeen Festivals Collective

Aberdeen Festivals Collective/Aberdeen Festivals is a newly formed group of festivals looking to work collaboratively to promote and market the city’s unique, exciting and diverse festival offering at a local, national and international level.

The Collective is also committed to raising the cultural profile of Aberdeen, promoting the city as a culturally exciting and vibrant place to live, invest and visit.

There are nine festivals signed up to the collective and each one has made a commitment to the Collective to drive forward the main aims of the group.  The festivals are: Aberdeen Jazz Festival, Arts Across Learning Festival, May Festival, Over 50’s Festival, Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF), TechFest, North East Open Studios (NEOS), DanceLive and Sound Festival.

The group has formed initially as an 18 month pilot programme supported by Aberdeen City Council and VisitAberdeen.  It is strongly anticipated that the Collective will continue after this period and so any logo that has been developed will be required to be transferable across all mediums and have the potential to grow and evolve into a fully established brand in the coming years (which may include additional festivals).

The logo is required to support the delivery of an ambitious joint marketing activity to enable the Collective to deliver increased visibility through a local, national, international marketing campaign, using both traditional and online methods. It will need to be contemporary and adaptable to fit with the brands already established by each individual festival.
