Call for venue for 'The Garden'
John Harris (Composer) and Zinnie Harris (Writer / Director) are looking for an open plan space in Aberdeen to host a site specific performance of a newly commissioned Opera The Gardenas part of the sound festival on November 2nd and 3rd 2012.
This is part of a series of new commissions supported by Creative Scotland.
We are looking for an open plan space that isn't too modern, or that too clearly has been designed for any particular purpose. An old warehouse or the top floor of an empty office block perhaps. It doesn't matter if it is run down provided there is lighting and electricity. Ideally we would prefer at least one storey up, and the space should be at least 6m x 6m and 3m high, and have reasonable access for the audience.
We would be grateful to accept proposals from anyone willing to host!
