weatherworld quartets is a cycle of six quartets, each around 10 minutes,exploring our sensory and bodily experience of the outdoors - the ‘weatherworld’. Their sonic landscape is pervaded by rain and wind, sounding out the surfaces and bodies of the instruments in a shifting weave of harmonics, open strings and unpitched noise; sustained, glanced, brushed, tapped. In two quartets the bow is replaced by plant materials – fern fronds and cypress sprigs – heightening the explorationof an intimate, immersed way of being in the natural world.

£14Standard /£10 (senior citizens)/£6 (jobseekers, full time students, disabled people)/Free (under 18, essential companions). Please note that tickets for events at The Lemon Tree are subject to a 10% booking fee.
There is also an option to Pay What You Can (PWYC), so that no one is excluded because of their financial circumstances.
You can thus choose to pay less than the recommended ticket prices if you can’t afford them. You can also choose to pay more, helping to support our activities commissioning new work and supporting local musicians and young people.
