The Edinburgh Quartet has long been celebrated as one of Britain’s foremost chamber ensembles and has always been a champion of new music working with many important and prolific composers of our age.
Today the Edinburgh Quartet perform a programme by Scottish contemporary composers, Geoff Palmer and Alasdair Nicolson. Geoff Palmer’s piece premiered at the St Magnus International Festival earlier this year and features an additional 4th movement.
