Nordic cultures and cod have co-existed for centuries, but overfishing threatens this bond. Scottish, Sami, Norwegian, Canadian, Danish and Swedish artists and scientists have discovered that cod have local dialects like Nordic cultures. They have created a sound sculpture installation based on cod mating sounds, highlighting the effect of overfishing on cod-culture.

The gallery is based in a former academy shopping centre with the help of Outer Spaces, a charity that collaborates with property owners and artists to activate empty commercial spaces.
