Horn player Ben Goldscheider came to public attention when he made the final of the 2016 BBC Young Musician of the Year aged 18 and has since gone on to make his debut at the BBC Proms and appeared as soloist with the Mozarteum Orchestra in Salzburg, the Aurora, Britten Sinfonia, English Chamber, Royal Philharmonic, London Mozart Players, Lucerne Symphony, Manchester Camerata, Prague Philharmonia and Sinfonie Orchester Berlin.

A keen advocate for new music, Ben recorded works for horn and electronics for soundfestival 2020 broadcast by BBC Radio 3.

Ben makes a welcome in-person return to soundfestival this year with a programme of music for horn and electronics featuring a new work by Ivor Novello-nominated composer and curator Alex Groves

"He is a young man with a timeless gift.” BBC Music Magazine, 2019
