Aden Country Park welcome back the internationally acclaimed violinist, Lana Trotovšek for her third visit to the North-East, this time with flautist Boris Bizjak, for special recitals in Aden and Finzean.

As a soloist Lana has played for Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky TheatreOrchestra of St Petersburg (twice), for the London Symphony Orchestraunder Gianandrea Noseda and several orchestras in the states of the former Yugoslavia. Lana is a Professor of Violin at the Trinity Laban Music College in London and an Associate Professor at the Institute of Music of the University of Ljubljana. In 2016 she won the Gold Medal in the Global Music Awards for her recording of César Franck’s Sonata with pianist Maria Canygueral; Boris Bizjak was the recording engineer for which he won the Silver Medal.

In 2016 Lana and Boris were selected by the Slovenian Government to represent their native country on a world tour of concerts to celebrate twenty-five years of Slovenian independence. Together they are cofounders of the Blackheath International Chamber Music Festival - now in its fifth year. Lana and Boris have put together a special programme which includes music from the 17th to the 21st centuries.
