Winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society’s ‘Young Artist’ Award, pianist Clare Hammond presents a ground-breaking programme of contemporary works for piano and film. Ken Hesketh’s surreal and unsettling short film Hände is paired with Ed Hughes’ The Nose, inspired by Gogol’s satirical short story. Kim Ashton’s Ornithology, for solo piano, depicts five birds and ranges from the ethereal to the dazzlingly brilliant.
This performance includes a light supper which will be served at 7pm.
