Sonic Bothy
Sonic Bothy is a new, inclusive ensemble that explores, composes and performs contemporary music of all kinds.
Sonic Bothy aim to offer a new kind of music learning experience to adult musicians with an additional learning need who have taken part in previous music projects, but would like to explore music learning at an intermediate and advanced level.
Sonic Bothy combine learning about music history with contemporary composition and performance styles, exploring musical genres and techniques in an inclusive and open way.
By working with leading musicians and educators, this ensemble creates programmes of original compositions that respond to this learning and are led by the participating musicians and their eclectic musical interests.
Sonic Bothy performs at festivals and new music events throughout Glasgow, exposing the talents of our members to mainstream and new music audiences, and connecting them to Glasgow’s vibrant music scene.
