José María D’Angelo

José María D´Angelo born in Buenos Aires city.  He is a composer, electronic artist and performer of flute , and South American wind instrument. He has a degree in Electronic Arts ( UNTREF) and Social Psychology . His works have been performed at numerous festivals, “LiveWire”, Festival of New Music ( USA), International Festival of Contemporary Music, Univ of Lille (France),  2nd International Symposium UVM – 2013 , Acousmatic and Multimedia Festival “SonoImágenes , Argentina,  “Australasian Computer Music Conference” , New Zeland and Word Music Day 2007, Hong Kong, among others. He was also a member of the Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies at the National University of Tres de Febrero  (  UNTREF). José María has received award  by National Electroacustic Music Rostrum prize organaized by the Argentine National Music Council and TRIME 2005. He committed himself to the composition of music for documentaries, media arts performance,   medium- lenght movies, dance and theatre, winning prizes at international festivals in La Havana (Cuba), Goias (Brazil) and Chicago (USA).

At this time he works in a project “ Fulgor ” Experimental Tango Quartet,  including timbrical elements from contemporany music and musical gestures of traditional tango.

He has a wide teaching background at several universities . He is academic coordinator of a transdisciplinary program of art, technology and education and  research professor at the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF).
