Atalanta Piano Quartet
The Atalanta Piano Quartet is made up of four highly successful musicians with a strong and shared passion for chamber music. The group was formed in 2012, and they have concerts planned across the UK in 2013 and 2014/15, as well as masterclasses and performances at Lancing College
Cecilia Bernardini has won first prizes in numerous national competitions and in May 2005 she made her concerto debut in the big hall of the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam. As a baroque violinist, she has led and played as a soloist with ensembles including The King’s Consort and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
Tom Hankey is a member (as violinist and violist) of the Aronowitz Ensemble, and recently joined the Callino Quartet. As a soloist he has given recitals and concerto performances including Beethoven Triple, Prokofiev 1, Mendelssohn, Bruch, Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi and McCabe.
Nathaniel Boyd is a passionate and dedicated musician who combines a busy chamber music career with frequent solo engagements. As a member of the Navarra String Quartet from 2003 to 2012, Nathaniel appeared regularly at the world’s leading concert halls including the Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw and Berlin Konzerthaus.
Simon Lane leads a diverse musical life performing both with instrumentalists and singers, and his performing takes him across the UK as well as Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, Denmark and North America. As well as being in great demand as a chamber musician, he has performed concerti by Schumann, Beethoven and Grieg.
