sound 2012 will be subtly different from previous years. We’ve programmed lots of shorter performances so that you can dip in and out more easily and focus on one work. We’re also having a festival club for the first time, and a new workshop programme: soundgeneration. The main focus of sound 2012 is opera, celebrated in Out of the Box, a 4-day event packed with new, ground-breaking, site-specific operas in unusual spaces.

We think this is the most adventurous festival to date. We hope you enjoy it and make new discoveries!
