John RedheadRemains of Occitania

A Cathar Forensic in words, images and sounds

…the vortex sent, the Stargate established, the Mary’s built their station. Tantric! With diamond hearts they spiralled jade-fire into the Cosmos. Heresy!

Remains of Occitania is an orchestrated dialogue with the landscape and rocks. A multimedia intervention, as much of the future as the past - of rituals, riddle and chaos across the landscape of the Albigensian Crusade, from Montsegur, Languedoc to Rosslyn, Scotland.

From field recordings of Montsegur and Rosslyn, John hopes an impossible music will emerge, a textual song, as part of a forensic together with words and images, as the mountain landscape itself reveals a supernatural audio visual library - flashes of total ecstasy and 'multiverse' belonging.
