Since leaving Manchester Poly School of Theatre, Oliver has worked extensively in theatre around the U.K. His West End credits include Kean {Apollo); Buddy (Strand); Jolson (Victoria Palace and Toronto); A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry IV Pt. I and Camelot (Open-Air Theatre, Regent's Park); Ghetto and Fuente Ovejuna (National Theatre); Blood Brothers (Lyric Theatre). Regional credits include: Hay Fever, The Mummy's Tomb, Dick Barton-Special Agent, and Twelfth Night (Queen's, Hornchurch), Shadowlands and Two Cities (Salisbury Playhouse); The Hypochondriac (Coventry, Belgrade); Blues In The Night (Oldham Coliseum); From A Jack To A King (Harrogate); Saint Joan {Birmingham Rep); Julius Caesar, The Threepenny Opera, All My Sons, Moll Flanders , The Secret Rapture (New Vic, Newcastle under Lyme); Candide (Everyman, Liverpool); Blue Murder (Library, Manchester); Twelfth Night and Carousel (Royal Exchange, Manchester); Macbeth and Music To Murder By (Nuffield, Southampton);Henry IV Pt I and Twelfth Night (Orange Tree, Richmond); Animal Farm (Dukes, Lancaster); Touring Credits include Sondheim's Sweeney Todd; Round The Horne… Revisited; Victoria Wood's Talent; The Night They Raided Minsky's, and Allo Allo.
More recently, Oliver has been performing with the singing group Opus Anglicanum.
