Scotland welcomes this pioneer of French electroacoustic music from Institut International de Musique Electroacoustique de Bourges, to present her music and that of colleague Christian Clozier. Having formed IMEB together in the 1970s, they have become hugely influential on the areas of composition and performance of electroacoustic music as well as on contemporary styles and genres. Tonight’s performance will also include performances of works by composers associated with Bourges, including Kalimba by Diana Simpson, Power Tools by Adrian Moore (both recent prizewinners at the Concours Internationaux de Musique et d’Art Sonore Electroacoustiques) and a new work by Pete Stollery commissioned by IMEB and completed in their studios in Autumn 2007 (world premiere).
