NEWTON DEE CONCERT
THE UNCOMMON HARP:
RUTH WALL

Newton Dee is a Camphill community in Bieldside, Aberdeen. During sound they will be hosting two concerts at their own community centre – the Phoenix Hall.

Ruth specialises in the performance of traditional and new music on the 33-string Scottish lever harp, and much of her programme has been composed especially for her, comprising music from some of the most exciting composers working with tonality and modality today. The Lament for the Harp Key arr. by Alison Kinnaird, Graham Fitkin Skirting, Michael Parsons Variations and October Dance, Graham Fitkin Variant on Y Gog Lwydlas (for bray harp), Ruth Wall Sibling 5, Philip Glass Opening, Graham Fitkin Wynter.
