Donal Sarsfield
Donal Sarsfield (b. 1980) was born in the west of Ireland and he studied composition with Piers Hellawell at Queen's University, Belfast and with Philip Grange and David Berezan at the University of Manchester. His music has been performed at the Corsham Festival, the York Spring Festival & the Printing House Festival in Dublin and his music has been performed by Sarah Nicolls, Psappha, The Rivoli Quartet and The Elysian Quartet. He attended the Dartington International Summer School in 2005, the Workshop for Creative Music at the Banff Arts Centre, Canada in 2006 and the IRCAM Academy in Glasgow in 2008. He is a member of the Association of Irish Composers, the Young Composers' Collective of Ireland and in 2006 he was included in the SPNM Composer shortlist.
