Trio Verso places the poems of Brian Johnstone in a musical context, providing improvised musical accompaniment to the poetry. Brian Johnstone writes: 'Although I have worked with musicians in the past, this is a completely new direction for me - and a really exciting one. It allows me to interact with the improvised music in a way that brings new meaning and different expression to my poems, and to respond to the musicians in a way I have never been able to do with any of the more formal approaches to poetry and music I have participated in previously.'
