Anne-Julie Rollet and Anne-Laure Pigache, associate artists within Les Harmoniques du Néon, create works of electroacoustic music and sound poetry that consider speech as a site of interaction between the intimate and the social, and language as a sonic and musical event. They stage the distortion of language and listening with an interest in the "friction with reality."
Since 2012, their eclectic creations have ranged from installations and concerts to radio dramas and performances. They take place in all kinds of venues: indoors, outdoors, everyday, institutional, alternative, dedicated or non-dedicated, ordinary, museum-like, or even broadcast on the radio. Different artistic teams are brought together depending on the nature of the creations. For several years now, they have been particularly exploring the intersection of artistic practices and their relationship to public space.
Les Harmoniques du Néon operates through a diverse network encompassing artists, organizations dedicated to improvised and contemporary music, festivals and multidisciplinary creative spaces, public institutions, and civil society. Furthermore, its teams conduct numerous cultural activities with amateur and "selected" audiences – notably those in psychiatric care – with whom they aim to create artistic works that more broadly question our relationship to the norm.
