Ensemble Alternance

  • Artist

The Ensemble Alternance goals include developing, integrating and exploiting the chock of temporal passages as well as cultural and new instrumental rotations in the vast expanse of music of our time. In addition, the aim is also to confront all that with works from the near past. This opens new horizons and renews the instrumental gestures. Consequently, priority is given to premiering works by true creators in major places such as the Berlin Konzerthaus, Geneva Victoria Hall, Düsseldorf Tonhalle, Paris Châtelet Theatre - Louvre Museum, Copenhaguen Royal Library, Bonn Beethovenhalle, Bremen Radio, New-York Guggenheim Museum... Such a new way of envisioning music enables us to hear or re-hear enlightened works by the likes of Boulez, Cage, Ligeti, Crumb, Scelsi, de Pablo, Klaus Huber or to discover new works by striking young composers such as Philipp Maintz, Philippe Hersant, Philippe Schoeller, Bruno Mantovani, Mark André, Gérard Pesson, Raphaël Cendo, Mauro Lanza with Cds regularly awarded by the CD Charles Cros Academy.

The ensemble consists of the following players:

Frédéric Baldassare, violoncello

Jean-Marie Cottet, piano
