Get Creative with sound

Calling young instrumentalists; join us for a creative music making session. 

Our Get Creative workshop has been moved to Sunday 6 February and we have space for instrumental players in S1-S6 in our side-by-side workshop with Any Enemy, NE Scotland’s new music ensemble conducted by Pete Stollery. More info below.

For instrumentalists in S1-S6

Time: 1-4pm

Be part of NE Scotland’s’ new music group, Any Enemy, for the afternoon and work on Terry Riley’s minimalist classic In C and Sirens by Howard Kempton which we’ll perform at the end of the session. The afternoon session will be led by Pete Stollery with musicians from Any Enemy.

For instrumentalists in P4-P7 - WORKSHOP NOW FULL

Time: 1.30-3.30pm

Experiment and explore all the different sounds you can make on your instrument in this creative playing session led by Pauline Black. 

Please note there are no places left on the primary aged workshop on 6 February. Please email participate@sound-scotland.co.uk if you would like be added to the waiting list and to hear about our next session in March.

Both workshops are suitable for any instrumentalists who have been playing their instrument for about six months+. 

We plan to have a sharing of the music for parents to attend at the end of each workshop. This will depend on numbers, and we will confirm this in January along with our covid protocol.
