New Music Scotland
sound initiated the first meeting of Scottish composers, performers and promoters in September 2010, which led to the creation of New Music Scotland (NMS). The NMS network aims to:
- Create a context for dialogues between practitioners and new work;
- Share ideas of best practice;
- To promote the diversity of new music and sound art;
- To create and maintain a supportive environment for innovation
sound plays a leading role in the network, hosting the first NMS Showcase & Conference at sound 2011, and continues to coordinate the working group delegated to manage the development of the network.
