NYOS Futures
NYOS Futures is the contemporary chamber ensemble of NYOS, introducing young musicians and new audiences to the fascinating world of late 20th and early 21st century classical music. Its members are drawn from senior NYOS and Camerata Scotland musicians. The ensemble is delighted to have worked with a variety of internationally renowned conductors, soloists and orchestras. In October 2009, they performed with conductor Tecwyn Evans and members of The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra as part of Peter Maxwell Davies' 75th birthday celebrations. Through NYOS Futures, NYOS hopes to encourage an interest in the musicians and music of today, and engage with and develop future audiences for contemporary classical music.
