Shifting Currentswith Bill Thompson, Keith Rowe and Rick Reed

Shifting Currents is an installation and performance created by Bill Thompson from recordings of electro-magnetic fields from Stirling, Aberdeen and Huddersfield. These sounds were used to form a multiple speaker installation of delicate and also harsh, shifting electronic sounds. This constantly evolving sound installation forms a shifting sonic web in which Keith Rowe, Rick Reed and Bill Thompson improvise using live electronics, found objects and field recordings.
