A rare chance to hear a solo recital by this outstanding cellist. Bach's Suite No.2 in D minor will be followed by Berio's Sequenza XIV which was writen for Rohan in 2002, not long before the composer's death. The programme will conclude with Kodaly's Sonata Op.8, a work which Rohan had the opportunity to play to the composer when Kodaly was visiting Oxford in 1960s.
