In this innovative trio, musician and composer Rajesh Mehta, hybrid trumpets, is joined by Rohan de Saram, cello, and Jayachandra Rao, mridangam (south Indian percussion). It brings together the three vital influences on Mehta´s musical thinking: improvised music, contemporary composed music, and Carnatic (south Indian) music, and demonstrates the creative musical possibilities harnessing the collective creative energies that the musicians bring from their respective musical traditions and experiences in order to generate new musical forms and vocabularies and ultimately, towards evolving new musical "languages".
