Soprano Juliet Fraser has a repertoire dominated by the very old and the very new. In new music, she has performed as a guest soloist with Plus-Minus, ICTUS, We Spoke: New Music Company, London Sinfonietta, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Klangforum Wien and Ensemble intercontemporain. She is also co-founder and principal soprano of EXAUDI, the acclaimed vocal ensemble, with whom she regularly performs at festivals such as Aldeburgh, Spitalfields, hcmf//, Festival d'Automne, ManiFeste, Ars Musica, Wittener Tage and Darmstadt Ferienkurse. She has premiered well over 100 works, many of which have been written for her, and has worked particularly closely with composers Michael Finnissy, Christopher Fox, Bernhard Lang, James Weeks, Matthew Shlomowitz and Andrew Hamilton.
Recent first performances include a new work by Rebecca Saunders with Klangforum Wien in Donaueschingen, Michael Finnissy's Andersen-Liederkreis with Mark Knoop at Transit Festival (Leuven), Bernhard Lang's Monadologie XXXII - The Cold Trip, part 2 in MaerzMusik (Berlin), and The Lichtenberg Figures by Eva Reiter with ICTUS at Wien Modern. Juliet's recording of Morton Feldman's Three Voices was recently released on Hat Hut Records.
