"Croick" by Ruth Wall for solo lever harp

Croick was composed in 2014. It's one of the first three pieces comissioned for the Aberdeen Harp Project.

This piece was commissioned by the harpist Dr Alan Carr with funding kindly donated by Edward and Una McFadden for the Aberdeen Harp Book, a collection of pieces for lever harps players of an intermediate standard.

The title refers to a small church in Sutherland, near Ardgay, which was a hiding place for the people of Glencalvie during the 1845 Highland Clearances.
