As part of Aberdeenshire Council’s Youth Music Initiative programme, sound runs an annual music and technology project that gets primary aged children composing and creating their own music using a range of different music and sound technologies.
Between May-June this year P6&7 pupils from three Aberdeenshire primary schools will work with composer Rory Comerford, musician Simon Gall
and Jack Hughes a Hip-Hop M.C. from Aberdeen, to explore local traditional songs and develop them into new pieces of music with the use of musical instruments, voices, technology, sound recording and sound editing.
This project is supported by Aberdeenshire Council's Youth Music Initiative.
